Easter, a sign of springs arrival, makes not only Snoopy, but also us, feel like hopping cheerfully. That is partly why when I visited Petit-Champlain street for the first time and saw the signboard of “Le Lapin Sauté”, I became very happy.

On Mont-Royal Street, there is a small crepe-shop. I went there after my Quebecer friend recommended it to me. The owner who’s originally from Paris, Mr. Edgard, makes authentic French crepes at a moderate price.

Wouldn’t you like to eat Asian food on the whim, without having to plan for it? This winter, if you’re not into wandering around searching for many restaurants in the cold, we recommend this Thai and Vietnamese restaurant that is close to Mont-Royal Station. You can also bring your own beer or wine, which goes great with Pad Thai or Chow Mein. There is always a large menu selection of delicious foods, so you will enjoy it for sure.

Usually, we at Coco Montreal strive to economize, always in search of cheap and delicious places to eat. But, since it’s Christmas, we decided to treat ourselves for a year of hard work.

What better way than a cold beer on a hot day? We start with “Dieu du Ciel!” brewpub bar. According to word on the street, this bar is a favourite with Quebecers! How can we resist?

I found out about the cafébistro “Casa del Popolo” by word of mouth. They have tasty inexpensive vegetarian foods such as sandwiches, samosas, salads etc… And they also have shows almost every night. You can eat a delicious dinner and listen to great music while having a beer.

I love me some large flat french fries. Don’t let their generic souvlakis fool you; this poutine (accompanied with a Kojax beef burger) is arguably one of the best in the city at any of their many locations.

This is a tricky one. This staple—nay, this institution–has many locations open 24 hours, but not all of them offer the same quality of food.
